Matthew McGirt, MD

Chief Medical Officer

Dr. McGirt is a practicing neurosurgeon with 20 years of experience who has served as a board member and Chief Development Officer at CNSA, one of the largest physician-owned surgical practices in the U.S., where he has developed novel value-based care contracts, destination healthcare, and direct-to-employer programs.

He has been a 25-year leader in health economics and health services research, focusing on innovative data systems and analytics, driving care efficiencies, and quality improvement; having published over 350 peer-reviewed papers and delivered over 300 lectures nationwide. Dr. McGirt co-developed the data capture and use systems for what is now the AANS and AAOS national outcomes registry and quality reporting platform.

Dr. McGirt has served as a consultant advisor or held leadership roles for multiple professional medical societies, Fortune 100 healthcare companies, the FDA, and CMS. He is a co-founder and general partner at Mammoth Venture Capital, where he has helped scale several health services startups via advisory and operational positions.

Dr. McGirt is now applying these insights to scaling revenue cycle management, technology, and healthcare data utilization, as well as administrative services across multiple service lines.
