Kristy Compton

Director of Revenue Cycle Management

Kristy Compton brings more than 25 years of hands-on leadership in healthcare revenue cycle management, with a career devoted to helping provider organizations strengthen financial performance and streamline operations. As Director of Revenue Cycle Management at PracticeCore, Kristy leads with a deep understanding of the full RCM spectrum—from front-end patient access through billing, collections, and denial resolution. Her proven ability to transform underperforming systems into efficient, data-driven operations makes her a trusted partner for practices seeking sustainable results.

Having spent most of her career on the provider side—including 15 years as managing partner of a multi-specialty MSO—Kristy has guided both large and small teams through critical RCM restructuring initiatives. She has consistently delivered improvements in clean claim rates, patient collections, AR days, and denial rates across diverse practice environments, including neurosurgery, orthopedics, ASCs, and rehabilitation facilities.

What sets Kristy apart is her strategic mindset paired with a hands-on leadership style. She builds scalable systems that allow physicians and administrators to regain focus on clinical care, while her emphasis on process standardization, team alignment, and analytics ensures every RCM decision supports long-term growth and stability. She is particularly skilled at helping organizations transition from fragmented or outdated billing workflows to fully integrated, centralized solutions.

A certified professional coder (AAPC-CPC), Kristy has implemented and optimized systems such as Epic, NextGen, GE Centricity, Waystar, and Availity. She stays current through active participation in industry organizations, including MGMA, AAPC, and AANS. Her leadership is defined by mentorship, integrity, and a “human-first” management style that values connection as much as performance.

At PracticeCore, Kristy plays a central role in onboarding new partners into the MSO, developing client-specific SOPs, and delivering tailored, transparent reporting that helps provider groups track progress and build trust. Whether she’s restructuring an internal billing department or guiding leadership through a financial turnaround, Kristy’s focus remains the same: elevating revenue cycle operations so practices can thrive.
